Description: Image shows samples of field soil (25 cm2) from Fraser fir production sites, flooded with 40 ml of distilled water. Rhododendron leaf disks were floated on the water surface as a bait for zoospores of Phytophthora spp. Leaf disks are typically removed after 24 hours and plated on selective medium for detection of Phytophthora.
