Descriptor: Scenic
Description: This small atoll lies some 200 miles ESE of Pohnpei. It has a carrying capacity of about 200 people, who farm taro intensively as a staple food. The atoll regularly exports people to Pohnpei when the carrying capacity is exceeded. A Paramount Chief is the head of the island's traditional government. February 1985. 160 degr. E. Long.; 6 degr. N. Lat.
