Description: 1. Branchlet with flowers in umbellate clusters developing on spurs (a - c). - 2. Leafy branchlet with ripe pomes. - 3. Seed, viewed from different sides. - 4. Winter-branchlet with lateral spurs (k). - 5. Vigorous vegetative shoot in winter; buds are conical-ovoid, reddish-brown, pubescent. Lateral buds are smaller. After Hempel & Wilhelm, 1889.
