Description: 1. Young shoots with male strobiles at their base (a, b). - 2. Female strobiles (a) appear near the apex of young terminal shoot. - 3. Shoot with young conelet after pollination (a). - 4. Branch with one year old conelets (a, b) and buds (c, d). - 5. Cone in the summer of the second year. - 6. Branch with mature closed (a) and older open (b) and closed cones (c). - 7. Conescales (seedscales) as seen from its inner (adaxial, a), and outer (abaxial, b) side. - 8. Winged seed (a, b), and a wing (c); seed from different aspects with wing removed (d - h). - 9. Seedling with cotyledons and the developing shoot with juvenile (primary) leaves.
