Descriptor: Damage
Description: This old fire scar has intact bark covering most of the injury. The cambium was killed by a column of heat without burning the bark. Decay extends into the heartwood behind the injury. Pulling away loose bark revealed a single callous ridge typical of a non-canker stem injury.
